If a camera can stream video to our central system, Myriade can add the video to its PVMyr zip file.

We can show it in the browser window. This has been successfully tested. However, the real challenges are:

  • To get the cameras to stream to the system since metaBOF does NOT receive streaming video.
  • The cameras will have to record video continuously and disregard anything except say 30 or 60 seconds before the actual Hit.
  • That would have to be programmed in the camera for probably all Reads. It will increase network load substantially.
  • The video will then have to be converted to the right format and stored in PVMyr (only for the Hits).
  • And remember, 30 to 60 second video is going to grow the PVMyr file size quite a bit.
  • In any event, this must be fleshed out during project workshops.

Since none of our existing customers have requested this yet, Myriade has limited experience with this.

Myriade can integrate other VMS’s (Video Management Systems) into metaBOF if the third-party VMS allows access to their system over a HTML5 application supporting the standard rfc7826 (RTSP – Real Time Streaming Protocol). This gives us the opportunity to integrate into a wider CCTV platform.

Some examples are ANPR-camera in combination with an under-vehicle scan or a -5- and +10-seconds video stream added to a passage for trucks.
